Park District asking for public input on renovation options.
The Rockford Park District is reaching out to the community as they consider options for a new attraction at Magic Waters after deciding to retire the “Splash Blaster” water slide.
“Typically, water slides need to be refurbished after about 15 to 20 years,” said Rockford Park District Executive Director Tim Dimke. “We were at the point where we needed to evaluate the future of this ride to best utilize taxpayer resources.”
Citizen ideas and user feedback on how to replace the “Splash Blaster” is being sought through on online survey that can be taken here. Input from the survey will help staff prioritize renovation options.
Surveys must be complete by April 28th. Everyone who takes the survey will be entered to win a season pass to Magic Waters.
Final renovation plans will be announced later this summer.
