13th July 2010 – Malaysian Association of Amusement Theme Park and Family Attractions (MAATFA) went all out to host the welcome party which was held at Dato’ Richard’s home in Bangsar. The guest of honor at the party night was Minister of Tourism Malaysia, Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen. The party saw over 200 attendees from various countries. Among the special local guests include Tan Sri Dr Jeffery Cheah, Puan Sri Cecilia Lim, Dato’ Simon Foong, Dato’ Dr Manjit Singh, Dato Low Kok Thai, Kevin Sim, Zainal Ashikin and Ng Kheng Leong.

Bukit Merah Laketown Resort organized the Toman Challenge Fishing Competition for the second time on 7 March 2010 following the success of the first Toman Challenge on 25 December 2008. The Toman Challenge was organized with the cooperation from the Perak Fisheries Department.
